Stuart Rostant, M. Arch, BEDS

Stuart was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2001 Stuart moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to pursue a Master’s Degree in Architecture at Dalhousie University. After completing his degree Stuart returned to Trinidad to work as an Architect until 2010, after which he and his wife Amanda migrated to Cambridge Bay Nunavut to work with the Government of Nunavut as a Project Officer. In 2012 they completed their first home and shortly after CHOU Consulting & Development Inc. was created. Over the years CHOU has undertaken multiple builds, always improving upon learnt experiences on how to deliver its projects more efficiently.

Amanda Doiron, M. Arch, BEDS

Born and raised in New Brunswick, Amanda began her university schooling in 1999 at St. Francis Xavier in Antigonish, NS. She relocated to Halifax in 2001 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Architecture where she met Stuart, her now husband. After the completion of her degree, she migrated to Trinidad in 2007 until 2010 when she and Stuart began their Arctic adventure in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. After working with the Government of Nunavut for 6 years they set their sights on becoming developers, primarily in the private housing market. Completing their first home in 2012 they took the leap and became business owners, incorporating CHOU Consulting & Development. Between 2015 and 2022 they completed a number of projects including single- family homes, condominiums, and mixed-use buildings.
